The Suns Get the 4th Pick

This scenario is not great. Not only does Phoenix fall out of the second spot, but they also lose out on the third as well meaning no chance at Josh Jackson. However, Jayson Tatum projects to be the fourth pick in this draft, as he is rated beneath the top-3 players, but better than everyone else available. The Suns would probably take Tatum and keep him to be the SF of the future, unless someone offered a great trade for the pick. Taking Tatum, or Josh Jackson earlier for that matter, would more than likely spell the end of T.J. Warren’s time in Phoenix. Tatum’s style would take a while to mesh with the rest of the Suns’ young core, based on outside shooting and not letting the ball stick for too long. Jayson is much more Melo-esque, with a lot of iso shot attempts and holding onto the ball for a long time. The Suns wouldn’t be upset with falling to fourth spot, necessarily, but they also wouldn’t be very happy. Tatum is a good consolation prize for missing out on the first three picks, but at the end of the day, it’s still a consolation prize.
