Ed Pinckney was an average back-up big man. He stuck around in the league for a while, and he put up decent numbers. With that being said, it doesn’t matter who the Suns could have taken outside of 15 to 20 other people in NBA history. They missed out on the second most points in history, and a career 25 points-a-game scorer in ‘The Mailman.’ The Utah Jazz built a successful dynasty with their picks of Stockton and Malone in successive years. The Suns missed out on both players in the draft, and that definitely has to sting.
