This draft wasn’t the deepest, with only a few top talents available. With the Suns having the last pick of the first round, there wasn’t much of a talent pool remaining to pick from. Macy was an average backup point guard in the league. He played 7 years, and put up around 10 points a game over his career. On the flip side, however, Laimbeer was a nasty, effective big man in his time, and one of the leading faces of the Detroit Pistons in the 1980’s and early 90’s. He shot a decent clip from behind the three-point line as well, something that was almost unheard of in those days. With the second to last pick in the third round, he was a steal for the Cavs at the time, and is the easy choice for who the Suns should have taken in this draft.
