Trade #1: The James Dolan Special

This trade is reliant on Adam Silver and the NBA not dropping the Suns’ pick past #2.

Here’s why the Knicks do it. Ulis is way under-paid for his skills based on his second round draft status and thanks to many questionable moves, the Knicks could use as many young guys on cheap deals as possible. Additionally, Marquese Chriss was one of the most underrated young guys in the league last year, playing very well as the season closed. The #1 or #2 pick in this draft could net the Knicks a choice between Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Jackson. This would leave the Knicks with essentially 3 lottery picks (Suns 2017, Knicks 2017 first, Chriss) and a nice piece in Ulis.

Although losing a high first round pick hurts, I still think the Suns would still immediately benefit from this trade. They can roll a lineup out of Bledsoe, Booker, Warren, Dragan Bender, and Porzingis for the near future. Plus the trade gives the Suns three star level players in Bledsoe, Booker, and Kristaps.

Overall I feel like this would be a great trade for both teams.
