Where the team stands now, there are no wagons to jump on, only tumbleweeds and horse carcasses. But, with smart draft picks this summer, marquee free agent signings, and valuable assets potentially coming back from an Eric Bledsoe trade, the Suns have a golden opportunity to become a competitive team in the West. Contender? Not right away, considering the consistency of San Antonio, Utah’s rise to become a playoff team, and, for years to come, Golden State’s dominance. Potential six-to-eight seed? I believe it’s coming… maybe sooner than you think.
