Had I written this post a month or so ago, when former Wildcats Bledsoe and Knight were actually contributing to the team, I might have had more of an argument to make. That’s not to say that Phoenix won’t have one or the other, or both, on the team next season, but I digress. Devin Booker and Tyler Ulis are a huge part of the backcourt right now and will continue to be in the near future. The two former UK guards, who were teammates on the 2015 squad under Head Coach John Calipari, have fantastic chemistry, an incredibly high ceiling, and have shown signs that they could quickly become perennial All-Stars. How many former UK players does Toronto have? Patrick Patterson? I rest my case. (Fun fact: Dwayne Casey is an alum of Kentucky as well, but who counts the coach?)
