You never get a second chance to make a first impression. However, for some of the Suns offseason acquisitions, all it took was one.

After signing a group of players headlined by former Defensive Player of the Year Tyson Chandler and first-round pick Devin Booker, general manager Ryan McDonough bounced back in a rather subtle way after coveted free agent LaMarcus Aldridge elected to sign with the San Antonio Spurs.

So subtle, in fact that you’d be pressed to find a casual fan who can name someone other than the two aforementioned players who signed with the Suns this off-season.

Have no fear; this five-game report card will serve as a way too early guide for anyone  who doesn’t quite know who is coming off the bench for coach Jeff Hornacek this season. In addition, it will serve as a means to understand what each player has brought to the team thus far and what they can do to contribute moving forward.

For the sake of brevity we’ll keep it to guys who have played (sorry Cory Jefferson!)

Without further ado, premature report cards have officially been distributed.
