4. Shoot 36 Percent From Three-Point Range
To this point in his five-year career, Eric Bledsoe is a career 32.5 percent shooter from three-point range. The only season he’s posted a “good” three-point percentage was his last season with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012-13, when he posted a 39.7 three-point shooting percentage on a meager one attempt per game.
In his first season with the Suns, Bledsoe converted a respectable 35.7 percent of his 3.3 attempts per game from three-point territory. But last season, with Phoenix’s backcourt in flux for about half of the season, Bledsoe’s three-point efficiency dropped to 32.4 percent on 3.4 attempts per game.
Without a secondary playmaker to provide him with good looks following Dragic’s departure and Brandon Knight’s injury, 13 of Bledsoe’s 29 made threes after the All-Star break were unassisted. But that should change in 2015-16 with a healthy Knight alongside him, so Bledsoe should focus on ensuring there’s a payoff from all the summer work he put into shooting the long ball.
