There’s no doubt about it; Archie Goodwin is heading into a make-or-break season in 2015-16. As the No. 29 pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, Goodwin was always projected to be something of a project. He was only 18 years old when he was drafted and was coming off his freshman year at Kentucky, after all.
But after two NBA seasons, Goodwin is no closer to convincing anyone that he still has that incredibly large amount of upside. Despite only being 21 years old, the patience of the fanbase — and of Goodwin himself — is starting to wear thin with his lack of minutes.

That being said, Goodwin still has the 2015-16 season to prove his worth and earn regular minutes in the rotation for the first time in his NBA career. By tenure alone, Goodwin would get those minutes as the first shooting guard off the bench. But the NBA doesn’t operate by tenure, so the only question is, how does he earn his playing time with such a major logjam in the backcourt?
