In the second home game of the 2015-16 season, the Phoenix Suns will induct Steve Nash into the Ring of Honor. As the greatest player in franchise history, it’s a much-deserved honor and after five straight years of missing the playoffs, Suns fans will enjoy a night that reminisces on the glory days of not so long ago.

The question is, once Oct. 30 passes and everyone’s focus shifts back to another season of gunning for a bottom feeder playoff spot, how long will Suns fans have to wait for another happy induction ceremony?

Nash will be just the 14th member of the Suns Ring of Honor, and only the 10th player. Phoenix boasts the fourth winningest franchise in NBA history, but without a single championship, it’s been a little harder to justify more inductions of names without titles to them.

With nothing but time to kill before training camp begins, here’s a look at the five players you might see inducted into the Phoenix Suns Ring of Honor sometime down the road. In the interest of being both optimistic AND realistic, we’ll be taking a look at why each player might make it one day and what would hold them back.
