Suns 5-On-5: The Best Of Steve Nash
By Gavin Schall
4. In honor of Scott’s article, who’s your favorite fantasy sleeper on the Suns?
Gerald Bourguet: Eric Bledsoe. He’s probably not much of a sleeper for Suns fans since he’s Phoenix’s best player, but I don’t think too many people are aware of how much production he brings to the table in multiple categories.
Gavin Schall: If you couldn’t tell from my last answer, I’m buying up as much real estate as I can on the T.J. Warren bandwagon. He was ridiculously efficient around the hoop last season and with another offseason to work on it, his three ball should start approaching respectability.
I could see him starting and putting up around 15 points and six rebounds a game with an outstanding field goal percentage for his position, and a couple of steals to boot. It’s almost impossible to find that type of production at the backend of most drafts and that’s exactly where Warren will be available.

Mark Harris: Even with limited playing time, I see T.J. Warren being a fantasy sleeper for the Suns. If he can get above 10 points per game and around seven rebounds, both of which seem possible, then he could be a backend of the roster guy for your fantasy team.
Scott Chasen: T.J. Warren. You could definitely make an argument for Markieff Morris given how far his value has dropped, and really, he might be the “best” answer to this question. And I suppose there’s always Eric Bledsoe too, but Warren is a little different in that he should be a pretty easy pickup in most leagues. Basically, if you want him on your team, you should be able to get him no matter what.
Personally, I expect Warren to be starting by the end of the year, and his unique ability to find ways to put the ball in the hoop should provide a pretty solid boost to fantasy teams wrecked with injury. Additionally, if he’s getting those small-ball 4 minutes too, Warren should be able to rack up the boards; he averaged right around six boards per 40 minutes as the 4, according to 82games.com, which was about a half a board more than at any other position. Just something to think about if Markieff Morris does get traded.
Colton Dodgson: I like T.J. Warren this year. With all of the Devin Booker hype, he has flown under the radar to an extent. Warren’s strongest suit has been his raw ability to score in various ways. Playing against reputable NBA players as opposed to Summer League hopefuls will be an adjustment, but he’s already shown he’s up to the task. He is going to start making contributions sooner rather than later.
