Phoenix Suns: Top 10 Home Games To Watch In 2015-16
7. The Brow Comes To Town
The Opponent: New Orleans Pelicans
Date: Dec. 18, 2015 @ 8:30 p.m.
Nationally Televised? ESPN
Did I mention that — excluding NBATV — the Suns only play on national television five times next year? In their first ESPN game of the season, Phoenix will be taking on Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Brow is worth the price of admission alone, but this Suns vs. Pellies matchup has produced some pretty memorable games in the past.
For example, back when Goran Dragic was still a fan favorite in the Valley not too long ago, the Dragon torched the Pellies to a crisp with a career-high 40 points that had the home fans chanting “MVP!” for the first time since Steve Nash.
That was almost two years ago now, so someone else will have to step up and match the Brow. But this game is also important to Phoenix’s playoff hopes, since the Pelicans will most likely be fighting for one of the last few spots in the Western Conference.
Coming off a tough road game at Oracle Arena against the defending champs, the Suns will have a day of rest before matching up with the powerhouse that is Anthony Davis and his new head coach, former Suns coach Alvin Gentry.
