Technically speaking, Isaiah Thomas has already made his homecoming to the Valley of the Sun. Much to the chagrin of the Suns supporters there that day, I.T. scored eight of his 21 points in the final 1:37 of the game to help the Celtics hold on for a road win…just four days after Phoenix shipped him up to Boston.

That being said, this year’s game against Boston is on the second night of a back-to-back, with the prior game coming on the road against the Sacramento Kings. It’d be easy to lose focus against an easier opponent like this, but this is the exact time of year when every winnable game needs to be, you know, a win.

In Thomas’ second game back in Phoenix, you can be guaranteed he’ll be out for blood once again. The Suns need to match his intensity, especially in the middle of a five-game stretch — Lakers, Kings, Celtics, Timberwolves and Bucks — that Phoenix could sweep with the right focus.
