Potential Fit
As the worst three-point shooting team in the NBA after the trade deadline, the Phoenix Suns very clearly need some help from long range. Though this team already has a bevy of young shooting guards and wing players to choose from, Frazier would be the only one who could spread the floor with a consistent stroke from downtown.
During his pre-draft workout in Phoenix, Ryan McDonough seemed fairly impressed with the effort Frazier put forth on the second day of back-to-back workouts.
“This time of year, guys would like to space them out a little better if they had their choice, but guys who are trying to come in to earn a job don’t necessarily have that luxury,” he said. “So for him to come out and play well on the second day of a back-to-back so to speak, and then to push himself in the three-minute run at the end, he made a very good impression on us.”
If the Suns take a big man with their first round pick, they’ll more than likely be taking either a shooter or another big man in the second round. If they opt for a shooter, Frazier could be their best (and possibly, only) option.
