Potential Fit

Holmes could be a great pickup for the Suns in the second round. While it is more likely than not that he will already be selected by the time their second round pick comes around, you have to hope he isn’t.

Offensive rebounding (or rebounding in general) is something the Suns desperately need more of and Holmes could absolutely provide that and more. With his tendency to provide second chance opportunities on the offensive glass, he can ignite and energize an offense (something the Suns also needed more of last year).

However, Phoenix also needs more shooting and a big that can stretch the floor as a consistent shooter to open up driving lanes for Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight. That is where Holmes would not be a match for this team. Nonetheless, he is rated the 28th best prospect in the draft for a reason and making a play on him in the second round would be a steal for the Suns.
