As the 2015 NBA Draft approaches, we’ll be taking a look at the top prospects in this year’s class to gain a sense of what the Phoenix Suns should do with their pick. Today, we’ll be taking a look at Jonathan Holmes.
After one season at Texas, Jonathan Holmes is currently rated as the 28th best prospect in the draft by DraftExpress. The 6’9″, 242-pound power forward/small forward hybrid averaged 10.3 points in 26.1 minutes a night at the University of Texas last year.
In 32 games, Holmes shot 33 percent from behind the arc and 44 percent from all two-point shots. He also chipped in with 6.1 rebounds a night, with 2.2 of those coming on the offensive glass. The big man starred at Antonian College Prep in San Antonio, Texas as a senior and junior before choosing to stay close to home, committing to Texas.
