Weaknesses

Unfortunately for the young shooting guard, his flaws are pretty noticeable as well, and they’re what has his draft stock all over the board. We’ve already covered how, at 6’2″, Rozier is a bit undersized for his position of shooting guard.

But his ball handling skills aren’t good enough to make him a point guard, and his inconsistent three-point shooting hurts his ability to space the floor as a shooting guard. Rozier is quick with the ball, but he also dribbles a bit too much and doesn’t see the floor very well.

Furthermore, Rozier’s over-dribbling led to 2.2 turnovers in 35 minutes per game last season. Clearly he’s not suited to be a point guard at the next level, and when you combine that with his lack of height, slender build and need for improvement with his three-point shot, Rozier feels like a major tweener in the NBA backcourt.
