Weaknesses

Although Portis can be a handful at times, there is no existing post move in his arsenal that strikes fear in opposing defenses. And maybe most important: His lack of athleticism. With the small-ball, fast-paced style that the NBA now markets and plays with, big men who can’t get up and down the floor are sure to be extinct quite soon.

Portis is a good athlete but not a great one and lacks explosiveness. He is also prone to get caught trailing the play multiple times if he becomes winded. He has been looked at and described a raw by many draft outlets due to the fact that he doesn’t excel as a pure power forward just quite yet but, instead, is simply just “good” (but not great) at multiple things.

His ceiling could be Draymond Green with a couple years of NBA practice and game situations.
