Potential Fit

There is absolutely no question, Dekker would be an excellent fit on this Suns team. His ability to run the floor and move so well at his size make him tailor-made for the offense that Phoenix employs. Not only that, Dekker would finally give the Suns some MUCH NEEDED size in their lineup without sacrificing any athleticism.

Phoenix could run out a lineup of Eric Bledsoe, Dekker, the Morrii and Alex Len (assuming Brandon Knight is resting or did not re-sign with the Suns in this scenario), with not a single player — besides Bledsoe — under 6’8″. More importantly, not a single player would be playing out of position with Dekker’s ability to play the 2-guard.

Fortunately, there is a chance for Suns fans that this scenario plays out. Dekker could potentially fall to them at the 13th pick, a situation where the only way they shouldn’t take him is if his Badger teammate, Frank Kaminsky, is still available.
