Strengths

Dekker’s biggest strength may also be his critics’ biggest knock on him. He isn’t the type of player that can be the focal point of an offense, BUT he IS a player that can fit in any offense and carve out his own role without being force-fed the basketball.

He is great at in-game management and understanding the flow of the game, which leads to very good shot selection (and he has a deadly set shot). Not only that, he is an extremely versatile player at 6’9″, giving him the ability to play and defend three different positions. In the NBA he could be a very valuable role player as the seventh or eighth man off the bench.
