10. Jake Tsakalidis

By virtue of his talent alone (or lack thereof, I guess), Tsakalidis would be much higher on this list. But considering he was only the 25th overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft, it’s not like the Suns wasted THAT valuable of a pick on the 7’2″ Greek.

At the time, he was a 21-year-old seven-footer who was a two-time Greek Cup finalist, a Saporta Cup winner and a Greek Cup winner with his club team, AEK Athens. Unfortunately, his youth and height just didn’t translate to the NBA.

Tsakalidis averaged 5.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game in his three seasons with the Suns before he was traded with Bo Outlaw to the Memphis Grizzlies.

In his best season in 2001-02, he averaged 7.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 67 games for the Suns. Phoenix missed out on Michael Redd and Eddie House by going with Tsakalidis at No. 25.
