2. What are some negatives from the season?

Bourguet: In no particular order: the possibility of drastically overpaying to keep Brandon Knight; the fact that an ankle injury limited Knight to 11 games; Bledsoe not being ready to be a leader; the Morris twins calling out the fans; the Morris twins racking up technical fouls; the Morris twins being charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault; the way things ended with fan favorite Goran Dragic; panic-trading Isaiah Thomas; trading away that potentially valuable draft pick from the Los Angeles Lakers; four buzzer-beaters and five game-winners; losing all those close games…did I miss anything?

Chasen: The end result was disappointing. The chemistry was a mess. And also in the time it took me to write this the Suns got called for 1,928,410 technical fouls, 487,234 of which were on the Morris Twins.

Hann: Wow, talk about a single question that offers multiple answers. Among the choices, I would say that the public bashing the Suns organization received throughout the season could prove to be a crucial variable in the offseason. Free agents may be wary of making a home in Phoenix after the type of negative exposure and publicity that the team had this past year, and that could set them back in this “rebuilding” process.

Saar: The Suns didn’t make the playoffs again. They lost the face of the franchise in Goran Dragic. They lost on basically five buzzer-beaters. They now have a deficiency at the backup point guard spot. The morale is low. Not much went right for Phoenix this season.

Harris: Where to begin…. I think that during the first half of the season many of us overlooked the fact that the Suns were not a good defensive team at all, but it was masked by the team’s success. Sure, this is still a young team, but routinely allowing at least 110 to the other team cannot be a positive. Obviously, the largest negative was all of the drama surrounding the trade deadline fiasco. Losing two quality players in Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas certainly spelled doom for the Suns 2015 campaign, but sticky way that the Suns front office handled all the chaos will not go down as a positive. Finally, the poor performance this team displayed on the the last stretch of the season was downright brutal. In some games, there was just a complete lack of effort and let’s remember that they were in the chase for the eighth seed for a large chunk of that time.
