1. What to watch for in the final week of the season?
Gerald Bourguet: T.J. Warren, I suppose? With Brandon Knight likely done for the season and Alex Len’s broken nose, watching how the Suns’ rookie does on this four-game road trip will be something to watch for.
Scott Chasen: Well until the Suns are officially eliminated from the playoffs, stay in the race as long as possible. If they’re not going to make the postseason, the next best thing is to stay in the race until the final game or two, I suppose outside of tanking like Philadelphia and ending up with approximately 403,284,205 first round draft picks.
Spencer Hann: This is definitely not the popular answer and may be a bit of an outlier, but Reggie Bullock is someone I have been waiting to see since the moment he arrived from L.A. He drew raves from Hornacek about his defense in the little playing time he has been given so far and he may have the purest shot on the team. I’m continuously puzzled by the fact that Gerald Green is taking minutes away from Bullock when:
a. There is a high chance Green may not be back next season.
b. Bullock WILL be part of next season’s team and the Suns should at least want to see what he can do in this last week of games against stout competition.
c. Or my personnel favorite, A AND B. Seriously Phoenix! You “coveted” this player yet he has seen as many DNP’s this season as Shavlik Randolph (the sad thing is I can’t tell if that’s an exaggeration or not).
Eric Saar: Development. That’s really it’s all about. I want to see some scoring outbursts from the likes of Archie Goodwin, T.J. Warren and maybe even Reggie Bullock.
Mark Harris: Honestly, I just want to see the Suns finish with a winning record. Not because they have any chance of making the playoffs, but just for pride alone. Putting up two straight winning seasons in the West is at least respectable, and if they can go into Oracle Arena and only lose by one to the league’s best team, then they should be able to finish above .500.
