Archie Goodwin

Goodwin was probably the happiest guy in the NBA (certainly on the Suns) following the trade deadline. He was buried underneath a plethora of guards (Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas, Eric Bledsoe and Gerald Green) and they even drafted another one (Tyler Ennis). After Phoenix traded one-third of their roster away, the picture certainly cleared up. He is clearly in the rotation and worked his way into the first guard off the bench (when Knight isn’t injured and they don’t need a distributor).

Goodwin improved, but needs to focus on his jumper even more. That clutch three that helped seal a win over Dallas was the culmination of a lot of work. He needs to continue to improve his consistency, but he’ll get there. His drives are quite good and he’s got a lot of potential. Just needs to get the opportunity/minutes and prove he belongs.

Gerald Green

The “irrational” Gerald Green is one of my favorite things to watch. Anything can happen. But at the same time it’s predictable. You KNOW when he’s going to pull up for the three and can see when he surveys the court and decides to take it to the rim for a thunderous slam.

It seems like Green won’t be back with the Suns next season as he’s reestablished himself in the NBA in his time with the Suns, and someone else will “throw” a bunch of money at him.

Over the next several games I want to see him improve his defense, his focus, less reckless gambling, etc. Most of all I want one more GERALD GREEN GAME.
