5. How depressing has the last week been? Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas beat the Suns, then Thomas wins Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Bourguet: I’m not sure Suns fans have been this depressed about a given week since the Steve Nash trade news ruined the Fourth of July back in 2012. First Isaiah Thomas dismantles the Suns in the fourth to give the lowly Boston Celtics the win. Then IT wins Eastern Conference Player of the Week to rub salt in the wound. Then Goran Dragic and Michael Beasley wax the Suns in a game featuring three ejections, two flagrant fouls and six technicals. And that’s before we mention the franchise-low 24 points in the first half against the San Antonio Spurs, falling 2.5 games out of the playoff picture and the Morris twins calling out fan support.

Chasen: Honestly, it hasn’t been too depressing. The Suns lost to the Heat following the ejections of their second best player and their starting center. The game against Boston was the team’s third game in four days in three different cities, and the Suns were still figuring out at that point, so I don’t really think it was that depressing either. This team is a work in progress, and as a person that would rather look at the goal than dwell on the present, I’d say it hasn’t been super depressing, although some wins would’ve been nice.

Hann: If you’re watching this team every night with your heart and soul, and set on the Suns making the playoffs this season, then yes, it has been a heartbreaking week with no shortage of headaches and sleepless nights. However, I would advise those to watch with perspective instead. This team is ridiculously young and inexperienced, growing pains are unavoidable and while this season may not result in much statistical improvement, it will still prove valuable for the player’s maturation process in the long run. The NBA Playoffs are coming to the valley sooner rather than later and the Suns are forming a team that won’t be one and done when that time comes, it just takes patience right now.

Saar: It’s been bad. Somehow the national media ignores the Suns to some extent and when the players go to “bigger markets” in Boston and Miami and have a good game, it’s like they are being rediscovered or something. Also, it sucks we had to play them both this season, and so soon. And we lost to both the teams, which are both worse than Phoenix. It’s just not good.

Harris: Well it doesn’t get much more depressing than that, especially seeing Isaiah Thomas earn Eastern Conference player of the week, but getting that win against the Thunder is a big bright spot. As for Dragic, he hasn’t been amazing in his tenure in South Beach, but expect to see big plays from him later on this season.
