At 24-18, the Phoenix Suns are precariously perched at No. 8 in the Western Conference standings — 1.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs for seventh and 3.5 games ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder in ninth.
We’re only 42 games into the season, but despite big offseason expectations, the Suns haven’t quite blown anyone away. However, after a hit-or-miss start to the season and a few growing pains, Phoenix is starting to get its campaign for the playoffs back on track.
We all know the West is loaded and with the Thunder healthy again, the Suns will need to have one hell of a half-season the rest of the way to hang on for the postseason. But given what we’ve seen from this improving team over the last few weeks, here are five reasons to feel good about the Suns and their playoff chances.
