1. Goran Dragic Remains Happy

When Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe embraced after Bledsoe notched his triple-double, it was a great moment. Bledsoe had just wrestled his 10th rebound away from the Dragon, knocking him to the ground. Dragic didn’t know Bledsoe needed one more board for the triple-double, and they both had a good laugh over it.

But you know what was so good about that heartwarming moment other than the obvious camaraderie? It was a manifestation of what Suns fans have been hoping for since Isaiah Thomas came to town: that this new-look backcourt could work.

With teams reportedly interested in trading for the Dragon, every smile on Dragic’s face is a good sign for Phoenix. Gogi is a free agent after this season, but the Suns will have the inside track to re-signing him as long as A) he’s happy and B) the Suns are willing to offer him the kind of hefty deal he’ll earn on the open market. As Phoenix’s best playmaker, Dragic has more than earned a long-term future here, so Suns supporters’ biggest Christmas wish should be that he remains happy.
