5. Gerald Green buzzer-beating game winner over the Minnesota Timberwolves
It was Wednesday, January 8 in Minnesota and the Suns were down by one. Gerald Green started moving, the ball was inbounded as he curled around the screen. Catching the ball mere feet away from where the ball was inbounded, he jumped with all his crazy athletic ability from the short corner on the right side.
It looked like he was leaning too far out of bounds and the desperation heave would just clank off the side of the backboard! Instead the “Green Machine” adjusted his release and drained the shot. And the Minnesota crowd died inside. Another close loss for the Wolves. But Green and the rest of the Suns gained more confidence.
