Gerald Green had played on five different teams in six years before being traded to Phoenix in the Scola deal. It look like he may have found a more long term home with the Suns. His ridiculous athleticism was already known, but he’s become quite a sharpshooter for the Suns. With his shooting craze comes nights where he just cannot be stopped, such as against Indiana. Other nights, his shooting is downright atrocious, such as his 2-16 night against the Knicks.
Green has stepped into the starting role and his scoring has been invaluable. He needs to learn that when he’s cold, he shouldn’t try to just shoot his way out of it. He’s recently shown the sense to try to play inside and take mid-range shots as opposed to just throwing up three-pointers. That kind of adaptability is admirable.
Not only has Gerald Green been an effective scoring option this season, he is a ton of fun to watch. Hi dunking ability is just phenomenal , and when he gets hot, he’s worth the ticket price to a Suns game.
