P.J. Tucker made a name for himself with the Suns last season. After several years playing in many countries, Tucker’s limitless effort and tenacity won him the attention of the Suns coaches and fans. He has improved this year as an offensive threat in a starting role. He has become a common user of the corner three, and that has im proved his three-point shooting numbers dramatically.

The most valuable thing about Tucker is his effort and strength. Every offensive rebound, every loose ball, every time there’s a chance to make a play on defense, Tucker is right there. His 6’5″ height limits him against larger opponents. if he were 6’9″, the man would be unstoppable inside. Tucker always handles the opposing teams star shooter and usually holds them relatively well.

P.J. Tucker went from a virtual unknown to a guy with the type of skill set many teams would like. He is an extremely hard worker and a tenacious defender. He has the chance to be one of the Suns lasting veterans going forward, and for good reason.
