Slava Kravtsov came to Phoenix with Ishmael Smith in the trade that gave Milwaukee Caron Butler. Kravtsov has been the benchwarmer, playing in only nine games this season. He isn’t a bad player by any means. In previous seasons, he’s shown ability as a shot blocker and rebounder, but there simply isn’t enough room in the rotation for him to see many minutes.

The good news is that he and Smith are infinitely better for the salary cap than Butler, which after all is probably why McDonough made that deal.
