T. J. Warren: 83 (2K18: 81)
T. J. Warren had a career year last season, finishing as the second leading scorer on the team behind Devin Booker. Warren showed a unique knack for scoring from pretty much anywhere inside the 3-point line. The main problem is that he still can’t score consistently from beyond.
Warren should get a slight rating improvement simply because his inside and mid-range shooting should increase, and his defensive ratings are really too low in 2K18, even for a below-average defender.
Josh Jackson: 81 (2K18: 78)
Jackson had an extremely up and down 2018. The first half of the season saw him look erratic, sloppy, and at times completely lost on the floor. After a mid-season meeting with interim Head Coach Jay Triano, he seemed to turn into a completely different player.
He was second among all rookies in points per game during that stretch and he showed prowess driving to the rim and as a secondary ball-handler.
Being a young player with heaps of potential, Jackson should increase several points in 2K19.
Devin Booker: 88 (2K18: 86)
Last season, Devin Booker cemented himself as the cornerstone of the Phoenix Suns franchise for the foreseeable future. He had an amazing offensive season and he flashed good ball handling skills that only improve his outlook moving forward.
The only real downside to Booker’s current game is his defense.
With 2K19 already revealing Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum rated as 87’s, and with Booker having a better season than either player, an 88 is a pretty fair rating for Book.
