After looking through the best teams to not win over the last 25 years, no team has been as unfortunate as the Suns. The Sonics had a couple great teams that couldn’t get over the hump in the 90’s, but they haven’t experienced that as often as the Suns. The Mavericks arguably have experienced as many tough playoff victories, but then they got their championship. The Suns have never experienced redemption.

Next: What would it take for the 2017-18 Suns to surprise us

Looking back at history brings some validation though in that several Suns teams certainly were great. However, it is also painful remembering how close they really were without ever getting to the Promised Land. Hopefully their current group of young stars will finally lead them there one day.
