As mentioned before, moving Charles Barkley to small forward does place him in a position that he never really played with any regularity during his actual time in the NBA. Yet in doing so on the all-time roster he moves Shawn Marion – who in actuality is the franchise’s best true small forward. But by moving The Matrix to the bench gives the reserves a fantastic two-way player that they don’t have anywhere else else.

Heck, if Connie Hawkins played small forward at any point, Marion’s three-point ability would actually make him a killer  shooting guard. He, of course, could also play power forward if needed for any reason, giving him three positions for which he could be placed. This makes Marion the franchise’s only actual “position-less” player which gives the Suns Head Coach (or the 2K player) the ability to place him in any lineup at anytime, against any positional opponent.

Then much his real-life role, Marion would generally get his shots off of passes from the point guards, and put-back dunks and alley-opps off of slashes.
