All That Remains (Chandler, Len, Morris, Teletovic, Leuer)

With most of the ratings for the Suns’ point guards, shooting guards and small forwards all out, the notable ratings on the team that have yet to be seen are down to that of Markieff Morris, Mirza Teletovic, Alex Len and Tyson Chandler.

Morris should actually have a solid rating, though he may fall victim to association with his twin brother, who received a mere 73 overall rating. That number is on par with Nick Young and Omri Casspi, among others.

Mirza Teletovic should be interesting to see, considering he played in just 40 games last year. His season was ended early when he was diagnosed with multiple blood clots in his lungs in January. I imagine it’ll be quite difficult for the Stauffer and company to make certain calls on Teletovic — as it would be in similar cases, such as Chris Bosh — so I wouldn’t expect a big change from last year’s rating.

And it should be noted the Suns also have Jon Leuer and a couple of recent signees at the four position, but their ratings will all probably be pretty low — at least those that actually make the team.

However, the center position is really a different story. Last year, Chandler just barely stuck around in the 80s, which is something that could definitely change moving forward, considering his age. However, this year’s game appears to be kind to the older players — perhaps too kind — so I expect Chandler will be at least an 81 or 82.

And with Len, I have absolutely no clue or guess what his rating will be, though I’m all-but-certain it’s going to be too low. It took the 2K crew a long time just to get his rating near Miles Plumlee’s rating last year, although if the reports of him becoming a stretch five — and I suppose the more likely ones of how he’s been working with Bledsoe over the offseason — are true, then he could certainly shoot up that list.

But here’s what we know now: Bledsoe is the highest rated member of the Suns in the one-through-three positions, at 82 overall. In that group, he’s followed (in order) by Knight (80), Tucker (75), Warren (72), Booker (72) and then Goodwin (70). And with those ratings all out — and really no major surprises — it’s quite likely the Suns will only have a total of just three players rated 80 or higher — between the aforementioned two and either Morris or Chandler — although that number means a lot less than it did in the past.

With players like Kyle Korver (79), Chandler Parsons (79), Tobias Harris (79), Jamal Crawford (79), Khris Middleton (79), Eric Gordon (78), Luol Deng (78), Deron Williams (78) and Andre Iguodala (77) all rated under 80, there’s certainly a possibility to build an absolutely loaded team with just a few top-ranked 2K players. However, it still would be pretty nice to see another Sun or two get bumped up into that 80 range, for perception’s sake if nothing else.
