The Phoenix Suns are in need of an upgrade at the point guard position. Luckily, there are some appealing names in the form of long term fits.

Over my last few pieces, I’ve gone over several options the Phoenix Suns should look at to improve their weakness at point guard.

Option one is to stay in house and just let the youth develop and fight it out for the rights to the starting job.

Option two is to bring in another young player in Tyus Jones who’s been bound to the bench and limited minutes, but who has shown he’s ready for an expanded starting role.

Option three is to bring back a familiar face in a third stint with the team, reuniting head coach Igor Kokoskov with Goran Dragic.

Option four is to get an older, veteran point to lead the team for a season or two until one of the young guys has proven ready to take hold of the starting job.

Option five is to go after a Splash Brother for Devin Booker in Lou Williams.

Those five options would all offer relief and at least temporary help while appeasing the fan base. However, if the Suns are going to make a move, their best option is to acquire a promising, proven young player that would gel with the young core and be a key part of the team for several seasons and their eventual playoff runs.

Here are five appealing players around the league that fit that description.
