Bogdan Bogdanovic, Serbia lose a close battle to Brazil in FIBA World Cup

Serbia fell to 2-2 after dropping their match against Brazil 81-73 on Wednesday and currently sit tied for third in Group A with France. They will take on Spain on Thursday to close out group play.

Phoenix Suns first round draft pick Bogdan Bogdanovic started and scored eight points for Serbia on two of seven shooting. He also was able to tack on two rebounds and three assists in today’s game. Bogdanovic is averaging a little over nine points per game for the tournament.

Former Sun Leandro Barbosa scored 16 points to help Brazil in the win. He scored those 16 points while taking a team-high 16 shots without recording an assist. Other NBA players on Brazil’s roster are Nene, Tiago Splitter and Anderson Varejao and they improved to 3-1 in Group A.
