Tyler Ennis shotchart at Syracuse

Tyler Ennis was drafted 18th overall by the Phoenix Suns because of his pure point guard skills. He averaged 5.5 assists per game and ranked among the lowest turnover players in college basketball in pick and rolls, isolations and spot-up plays.

The question mark with Ennis has been his jump shot and ability to score the basketball. According to this shot chart by Nylon Calculus crew, Ennis has many more blue spots than red marks with his field goal percentage at Syracuse. According to draft express.com, Ennis ranked as the fourth worst finisher among point guards last season. The one strength of Ennis is his pull-up shooting as he ranked among the top-5 among floor generals.

A big question mark with Ennis will be if he can develop his scoring abilities in the NBA and it will be something to keep an eye on as training camp approaches.
