The Phoenix Suns’ 2014-15 schedule was released on Wednesday afternoon. They will open up the season at home for the fourth consecutive season and host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, Oct. 29. On Halloween, the Suns host the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs before going on their first road trip to Utah and Los Angeles, where they will face the Lakers again.
Late November will feature the Suns’ longest road trip of the year with a six-game stretch that starts against the Los Angeles Clippers on Nov. 15 and ends on Nov. 24 against the Toronto Raptors. Their longest homestand will be a franchise record eight-game stretch that lasts from Jan. 13-30. It won’t be an easy run, however, as Phoenix will face the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls.
LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers make their lone appearance in the desert on Tuesday, Jan. 13. Another game to highlight is Jan. 19, which could be Steve Nash’s last game in Phoenix.
The Suns end the season in what initially looks to be a very tough stretch. Their final five games feature four on the road against the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs. The Suns then come home to end the season against the Los Angeles Clippers.
