On Friday night Indiana Pacers forward Paul George suffered a gruesome injury when he snapped his leg in half against the base of the basket when trying to make a defensive play. George was playing in the Team USA scrimmage in Las Vegas to prep for the FIBA World Cup.
The injury was so bad that the rest of the scrimmage was cancelled as players were visibly shaken from George’s injury. The Pacer forward did undergo successful surgery on Saturday and doctors believe he will miss the rest of the season.
Players from around basketball went to Twitter to express their concern, and that includes many players from the Phoenix Suns.
