This is our daily feature here at SunNGun where we scavenge the internet for recent stories related to the Phoenix Suns organization and relay them to you, so we are the one-stop-shopping for all things Phoenix Suns. We’ll have it for you everyday, hopefully posted for you in the morning. The links to these full articles are in the title, take a look at the entire stories. The writers at all the other blogs are good and have some interesting information and perspective, but come back here for our take and full coverage of the team.
“Suns guard Goran Dragic was named the NBA’s most improved player on Wednesday. Dragic ran away with the award, receiving 65 first-place votes, 25 second-place votes and eight third-place votes for 408 points. Runner-up Lance Stephenson had 158 points. Dragic averaged 20.3 points per game (17th in the NBA), shot 50.5% from the field (26th in the NBA) and made 40.8% of his shots from beyond the arc (15th in the NBA), all of which were career bests.”
“This might be the Year of the Horse by the Chinese zodiac, but in Phoenix, 2013-14 was the Year of the Dragon. Suns point guard Goran Dragic capped off one of the best seasons in franchise history by winning the NBA‘s Most Improved Player award on Wednesday, April 23.”
“The Phoenix Suns were, without question, the most exciting story in this otherwise banal season. Predicted by most to be gunning for a top lottery spot, the Suns instead found themselves in the thick of the playoff hunt, falling just short in the second to last day of the regular season. And while we’re unfortunately deprived of the Suns this postseason, we can take at least a little solace in Goran Dragic winning the Most Improved Player award.”
