Morning Sunshine: Phoenix Suns News (March 30)

This is our daily feature here at SunNGun where we scavenge the internet for recent stories related to the Phoenix Suns organization and relay them to you, so we are the one-stop-shopping for all things Phoenix Suns. We’ll have it for you everyday, hopefully posted for you in the morning. The links to these full articles are in the title, take a look at the entire stories. The writers at all the other blogs are good and have some interesting information and perspective, but come back here for our take and full coverage of the team.

Bright side of the Sun: Reign on Phoenix Suns players of the week, the slash brothers

“Since the return of Bledsoe to the starting line-up, the Suns have gone 7-1 over the last eight games, and have taken over the seventh spot in the Western Conference playoff seedings.  There’s no doubt….the Slash Brothers are back!”

Bleacher Report: Underpaid P.J. Tucker Wants Long-Term Deal to ‘Retire a Sun’

“If you follow the NBA, hearing about players wanting to retire with a specific team is pretty common. But such quotes aren’t generally coming from role guys who’ve played just under two full seasons in the league. P.J. Tucker of the Phoenix Suns would break the mold of the lifelong (insert team name here) if he finished his career with this organization.”

Bright side of the Sun: Western Conference Playoff Report:  March 30th

“I’d say I was surprised but I don’t think you would believe me.  Dallas led the Kings by as many as 17 points in the first half (which in all honesty resulted in me paying zero attention to the game) but Sacramento stormed back in the 4th quarter. In fact, with 4:07 to go in the 4th Sacramento held a 5 point lead.  Dallas then rolled off a 10-0 run to take the lead and though the Kings hit a few late shots to keep it close – even having a Travis Outlaw three point attempt to tie it up – the Mavs won the game they needed to win.  If you think you just saw that movie with Memphis and Utah – you did.”
