Bleacher Report: Grading Jeff Hornacek’s Season for the Suns So Far

“By now, nearly everyone knows the story of the 2013-14 Phoenix Suns. They weren’t supposed to be this good. They were expected to win about 15-20 games, and maybe they would tank for a high lottery pick. Players like Goran Dragic were candidates to be traded in February. This season would be more about development than winning.”

Rant Sports: Phoenix Suns feel both P.J. Tucker’s presence and absence

“Forward P.J. Tucker doesn’t normally put the most points on the board for the Phoenix Suns, but he’s indispensable in plenty of other facets. Tucker earned his 10th double-double on the season Friday night in Boston, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, and the Suns defeated the Boston Celtics 87-80 to halt a three game losing skid and start muscling themselves back into playoff contention.”
“In the closing seconds of yet another disappointing loss on Friday night, Kris Humphries was fuming as he stormed off the court while leaving a tossed towel in his wake. “He’s upset cause we lost and he certainly has a right to be,” said Celtics head coach Brad Stevens. “It was not a good ending.” It was symbolic of both the fight and frustration that exists with this Boston Celtics team, which allowed the Phoenix Suns to close out Friday night’s game with a 7-0 run that was the difference in their 87-80 loss.”
