Valley of the Suns: Spotty defense aside, Suns offense finding a groove

“The Suns’ defense has allowed 111.6 points over the last five games, three of which were losses. Pace has something to do with it, but then again, allowing four of those opponents to shoot better than 52 percent says there’s something broken defensively. Jeff Hornacek will admit that, but in the last two games, he’ll take the other fact. Phoenix has pulled out victories against the New Orleans Pelicans and Atlanta Hawks. Period.”

Bright Side of the Sun: The Phoenix Suns are having career years thanks to devastating pick-and-roll options

“At 35-24, good for 7th in the West, the Phoenix Suns continue to astound the experts with their play. When Eric Bledsoe returns, the Suns 7th ranked offense and 15th ranked defense will become even more effective.”

NBA.com/Suns: Randolph Shows Glimpses of Why Suns Signed Him

“Last week, Shavlik Randolph was working out alone in Miami, keeping his game honed after finishing out a season of professional basketball in China. Sunday night he on the court in a Suns uniform, guarding Elton Brand to help a Phoenix team fighting to stay in the Western Conference mix. And though there was still only a strip of tape with his last name written on it above his locker, Randolph was effusive in his enthusiasm over his new home.”

The defense has suffered tremendously lately due to Hornacek’s , for some reason insistence on relegating Plumlee to a 10 minute a game player. He is the lone Sun who guards the rim and rebounds. There are few shot blockers better then him and we need him playing more to make a playoff run. It appears for some unknown reason he is in Hornacek’s doghouse.
