USA Today: Flip Saunders says Kevin Love has not asked to be traded

“In response to a tweet from Hall of Fame sports columnist Peter Vecsey in which he indicated that Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love told the team before the All-Star break that he would opt out of his contract in the summer of 2015 and sign with another team, the T-Wolves’ president of basketball operations countered with a tweet of his own.”

Vecsey’s tweet just said Love said he’d sign somewhere else once his contract was over, not that he wanted to be traded. It only makes sense for Minnesota to trade him before they lose him for nothing in free agency. He would be PERFECT in this Suns system and Phoenix has the assets to acquire him. But nothing is happening on that front, just hopefulness and speculation.
