The Arizona Republic: Len mulls playing for Ukrainian team

“Suns rookie center Alex Len has not played in the Ukraine’s national program since he came to America, last wearing the blue and yellow in 2010 when Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough saw him in Lithuania at the Under-18 European Championship. But when pairings for this summer’s World Cup came out earlier this week, it held Len’s interest to see where the Mike Fratello-coached Ukrainian team would wind up. Len is not sure if he will play for Ukraine this summer, when his national team that includes Suns center Slava Kravtsov is in a group with the United States, Turkey, New Zealand, Dominican Republic and Finland.”
