NBCSports.com: Dragic gets bonus if he makes the All-Star team-

“It’s common in the NBA for players to have performance-based incentives built into their contracts as a way for them to earn extra dollars. It was even put into the latest iteration of the collective bargaining agreement, where players with at least four years of service are eligible for a higher maximum salary in their next deal if they have been named to an All-NBA team at least twice, been voted as a starter in the All-Star game at least twice (by the fans), or were named the league’s Most Valuable Player at least once. Goran Dragic is past that point of his career, but he’s looking at a nice bonus if he can make the All-Star team as a reserve nonetheless.”

CBSSports.com: Suns could be major players at trade deadline-

“Coming into this season, the Suns‘ plan looked simple: Be terrible one more year, get in the high end of the lottery, and maybe land a franchise player to go with the quality pieces already in place. Except Jeff Hornacek, Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe and the Morris twins had something else in mind. Currently, the Suns sit seventh in the West. That’s right — they’re in the playoffs currently. So as the trade deadline approaches, instead of being sellers, the Suns might be buyers.”

Phoenix Suns sign Leandro Barbosa for the rest of the season-

“Late in Monday night’s Suns win, guard Leandro Barbosa turned to Eric Bledsoe on the bench and told the man he was brought in to help replace that it could be his final game. Barbosa’s addition was always a long-term Suns plan but you could not have eased his mind with his second 10-day contract expiring Monday night. Only Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby and Coach Jeff Hornacek could do that when they took him into an empty room after the win and told him he would be signed for the rest of the season. “It was really heavy on my shoulders,” Barbosa said. “I was worried. I can breathe. It was something I had in the back of my mind that I don’t now.”
