Dionte Christmas had never seen an NBA game until this year. He  spent time playing in several countries while trying to find his way on an NBA roster. He was a standout in the Suns summer league, and took the role of the reserve guard.  When Dragic and/or Bledsoe were injured, Christmas saw fairly significant time. Now that they are healthy, he has played only a limited capacity.

He may not be a significant reason for the Suns successes, but he is definitely an effective player who can shoot from almost anywhere on the floor. Plus, an underdog story is always something people love to root for.
