Suns Roster Update

With media days arriving, training camp rosters are being finalized, the Suns finished their yesterday by signing James Nunnally.

A 6’7” shooter is just what the doctor ordered for the Suns, who are severely lacking in that area with the departures of Jared Dudley and Caron Butler. Nunnally won’t be a rotation player as his addition puts the roster at 18. Some of these players have non-guaranteed contracts and will be playing for a job down the line for the Suns or another team. A reason these players are temporarily signed is to push the rotation players to their full potential as these players on the fringe of the league typically bring their A-game every practice.

The main rotation players are basically set, but towards the bottom of the roster, the competition gets fierce.

PG- Goran Dragic

SG- Eric Bledsoe

SF- P.J. Tucker

PF- Markieff Morris

C- Marcin Gortat

Bench Players:

PG- Kendall Marshall

SG- Shannon Brown

SF- Marcus Morris

PF- Channing Frye

C- Alex Len

Other bench players who shouldn’t get cut:

SG- Archie Goodwin

SG- Gerald Green

C- Miles Plumlee

Players probably going to get cut:

PG- Ish Smith

PG- Malcolm Lee

SG- Dionte Christmas

SF- James Nunnally

C- Viacheslav Kravtsov

Some of these players will be traded before the trade deadline. Gortat, Brown and Green probably will be.

Prediction: Gerald Green and James Nunnally will be the two players on the fringe of the roster to stay with the team for the duration of the season.
