According to the Racine Journal Times, the Phoenix Suns newly acquired small forward Caron Butler could be headed back home to Milwaukee.
Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic announced on Twitter that a deal that would send Butler to Milwaukee and the Suns would receive guard Ish Smith and 25-year old center Slava Kravtsov should be finalized Thursday.
Caron Butler has been working out in Phoenix throughout the summer and it seemed that the Suns wanted to keep Butler however according to reports the Suns general manager Ryan McDonough ultimately decided to help make Butler’s dream of playing for his hometown Bucks come true.
Earlier tonight Caron Butler Tweeted this: “Much respect for the organization of the Phx Suns#staytuned”
The deal has not yet been finalized however should the deal take place as Coro described, the Suns would save about $5.65 million dollars in cap space for the upcoming season.
